About

A media company that owns its audience.

Most local marketing companies rent attention. They buy ads, chase algorithm changes, and when the budget stops the enquiries stop with it. We took the other route: build the destinations people search, rank them, and own the demand outright.

Scout Local Media is an Australian media group operating niche directory sites, starting in Western Australia. Businesses get access to buyers already comparing providers in their suburb and, when they want it, the same search work applied to their own site.

An independent publisher's workroom, page proofs laid out across a long timber table in afternoon light.

How we operate

Owned media first

We invest in assets we control. If a channel disappears tomorrow, the directories and their rankings are still ours.

Enquiries over vanity metrics

Impressions don't pay wages. We report on calls, forms and booked jobs, and we say so when something isn't working.

Limited seats per category

A directory full of every operator in town helps nobody. We cap how many businesses can hold priority placement in a category and area.

Built in WA, run from WA

Perth is home and the first market. National categories follow once the WA model is proven, not before.

Where we're going

Two sites live. Six more in the pipeline.

Perth Disability Connect and Compare Brokers are the first two properties. Over the coming months we're adding categories across Western Australia, then taking the categories that travel well to a national footprint.

Each launch follows the same test: real search volume, fragmented supply, and enquiries valuable enough to matter to the operators inside.

Scout Local Media is founder-led and deliberately small. You deal with the person responsible for the work, not an account layer between you and it.
